Why Work with Us?
We Listen
Being a small business with a smaller number of clients means we can give your nonprofit the time and attention to detail that you deserve. We learn where you are now, where you want to go, and what obstacles might be in the way.
We’re Responsive
We see you out there doing incredible things with limited capacity.
We respect your time, and we’ll do our best to work within your schedule and your preferred communication style. We also know that when an application deadline is coming up, it’s all hands on deck!
We Know Ohio
We understand the philanthropy landscape in Ohio. We also know how, where, and when to find State funding. Under this current administration, states will play a larger role in determining how federal funds are distributed. If you’re not currently receiving state-level funding, you’re leaving money on the table.
Service Plans
Ongoing Support Plans
Ongoing Support is paid on a monthly retainer. You have set a “bank” of hours allotted for services each month. You decide where our expertise is best used in any given month. The “bank” of hours is typically spent on a mix of fund development strategy and application writing. This service plan has a minimum contract engagement of six months. This allows us the time to become experts on your programs, your goals, and your unique value proposition, and better positions us to make your funding asks and applications as competitive as possible.
Project-Based Service
Project-Based Service is for nonprofits who have a specific grant or tax credit application that they want to submit for a specific project. We can provide support for just that project for a single, project-based fee. This fee is still calculated based on the number of hours we expect it will take to complete the application to competitive standards. Please note that funding applications are never guaranteed to be awarded to you. This option is best if you:
Already know the sources of funds you want to go after.
Don’t want the commitment of a six-month contract.
Already have narratives, budgets, and timelines for your project.
